Position Summary



The Quality Technician is responsible for maintaining high standards of product and process quality throughout all stages of production. This role supports quality assurance activities, ensures compliance with ISO 9001 standards, assists in resolving quality issues, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities



Inspect raw materials to verify dimensional and quality compliance.

Promote quality awareness and adherence to procedures among operators and production staff.

Collect, record, and maintain relevant quality data throughout the manufacturing process.

Perform scheduled internal audits across departments to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

Support day-to-day quality concerns from Customer Service, Warehouse, Receiving, and Manufacturing departments.

Receive, document, and process all scrap materials generated during production.

Collaborate with the Shipping and Receiving Department to conduct quality checks as needed.

Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), maintaining documentation and follow-up activities.

Gather data and maintain daily and monthly reports on NCRs and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).

Update quality instructions, work procedures, and CAR documentation as required.

Conduct incoming inspections of new and existing raw materials, particularly when quality concerns arise.

Assist Customer Service with Returned Goods Authorizations (RGAs) and related documentation.

Prepare monthly quality performance reports, including metrics such as CONQ/OTDP, CSI charts, and RGA data.

Generate monthly shipping and RGA charts.

Record supplier-related NCRs and update the Purchasing Supplier Log.

Maintain records of open and closed Corrective Actions monthly.

Manage Health Canada X-ray badge files.

Provide backup support for part maintenance data entry in JDE.

Maintain and update the approved supplier list.

Collect and manage quality data from JDE.

Maintain calibration for Measurement and Test Equipment

Maintain metrics and postings on the Quality and Health & Safety boards.

Perform additional duties or special projects assigned.

Minimum Requirements



College diploma in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

Minimum 3 years of quality assurance or quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and auditing practices.

Proficient in using measurement instruments and gauges.

Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., JDE) preferred.

Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
