This is a cross-functional position, working closely with other departments and requires a solid understanding of quality in an automotive manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for assisting a high performing team, ensuring the highest level of quality in our processes for our customers. Quality Engineer will work under the direction of the Quality Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES \xc2\xb7 Perform Root Cause analysis on External and Internal quality issues promptly and efficiently. \xc2\xb7 Interact with the customers and suppliers regarding all quality related concerns. \xc2\xb7 Ability to identify critical product quality requirements and potential risk areas. Ensure proper controls are in place. \xc2\xb7 Conduct Internal and External Quality Systems Audit when required. \xc2\xb7 Work with other departments to support continual improvements. \xc2\xb7 Assist Quality Manager in maintaining the Quality Management System and Procedure \xc2\xb7 Assisting/champion the development and implementation of Quality Systems including Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, Instructions, FMEA\'s, \xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS \xc2\xb7 Minimum 2 years in a Quality Engineering role. \xc2\xb7 Experience with Internal Auditing the Quality Management System. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE \xc2\xb7 Strong understanding of quality processes and analytical tools such as 5P Problem Solving, 8D, etc. \xc2\xb7 Plastic injection/Blow molding experience is an asset. \xc2\xb7 Competent with basic measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gages, and various inspection fixtures. \xc2\xb7 Support APQP creation and maintenance (Process Flow, FMEA, and Control Plans). \xc2\xb7 Knowledgeable in PPAP process. \xc2\xb7 Read and interpret CAD and blueprints accurately, and understands GD&T. \xc2\xb7 Good knowledge of ISO: 9001 and IATF: 16949 requirements. \xc2\xb7 Proficient with computer skills. (MS Office \xe2\x80\x93 Word & Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) \xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal skills, able to speak and present in a professional manner to an audience. \xc2\xb7 Travel on-site to review quality concerns and attend required training. \xc2\xb7 Ability to make effective decisions. \xc2\xb7 Proven ability to work well under pressure, and meets all deadlines. \xc2\xb7 Team player who works productively with wide range of people. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the quality department.
