Quality Coordinator
Primary Focus:
The primary purposes of this position are to develop a Quality Plan for Park Manor Care and then to work with each department to implement the Quality Plan, assist with data collection, assist with training for staff with respect to the Plan and be responsible for internal and external reporting. Further to work with the Leadership Team to prepare for Accreditation and MB Standards surveys.
Qualifications:
Education / Registration
Certificate of completion for a Business or Medical assistant program, or suitable combination of other related education and experience.
Completion of other Quality Program related courses and studies as made available for professional development of the incumbent.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years office experience - preference given to those with additional experience and/or with experience in a long term care setting.
Expertise
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in the English language, with experience in communicating at a variety of levels including management, staff, residents and families.
Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and office procedures.
Highly motivated, collaborative and able to work independently, while giving and receiving direction according to each situation and role; evidence of leadership, creativity, integrity.
Accomplished writing and computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office for Word, Excel, spreadsheets, and presentations plus databases, and MDS.
Confident and appropriate in working with the elderly.
