Job Description

The Quality Coordinator ensures that all vinyl window products meet internal quality standards, customer expectations, and applicable industry certifications (AAMA, NFRC). This role bridges the gap between production and quality assurance by conducting thorough inspections, supporting continuous improvement efforts, facilitating effective communication, and driving quality-related initiatives across departments.

Key Responsibilities:1. Quality Control & Inspection



Perform

incoming, in-process, and final inspections

of vinyl window components and assembled units. Verify

frame and sash dimensions

during cutting and punching stages. Inspect

weld quality, glazing, glass, hardware installation

, and overall assembly. Assess

paint finish

in both the paint room and on the production line. Validate

brickmold installation

, accessory placement, and combination window layouts before mulling. Conduct

aesthetic inspections

(surface finish, cleanliness, weld appearance). Execute "White Gloves" and "RMA" processes per company quality standards. Use precision measuring tools such as

calipers, gauges, and tape measures

to confirm compliance with specifications. Follow inspection

checklists and frequency schedules

diligently.

2. Documentation & Reporting



Maintain accurate records of: Inspections and rejections White Gloves and RMA processes Rework logs and quality metrics Prepare

daily quality inspection reports

and update

quality dashboards/presentations

.

3. Non-Conformance Management



Identify and document

product defects

. Assist with

Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

and follow up on

Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

with relevant teams.

4. Continuous Improvement



Actively support

Lean, 5S, and Kaizen

initiatives aimed at waste reduction and process efficiency. Participate in

quality audits

and help document

Standard Work Instructions

.

5. Training & Compliance



Train operators on: Visual defect identification and handling procedures Quality Alerts and new or updated processes Collaborate with production to review and resolve

customer complaints

. Ensure ongoing compliance with

AAMA/NFRC standards

and specific customer requirements.

6. Testing & Calibration



Support product

performance testing

(air infiltration, water resistance, structural strength). Coordinate sample preparation for

new product development

. Ensure all inspection

tools and measuring equipment are calibrated

and within specification.

Qualifications:



Diploma or certificate in

Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering

, or a related field. Minimum

2 years' experience

in a manufacturing or fabrication environment (vinyl windows/doors preferred). Proficient in

visual and dimensional inspection

techniques. Basic understanding of:

ISO 9001 standards

Lean manufacturing principles

Blueprint reading

Corrective action processes

Excellent

attention to detail

organizational and communication skills

Familiarity with

Experience with

quality software
