Cloverdale Paint is seeking an ambitious individual for a full-time Quality Control Technician position in our Winnipeg facility.
Wage is negotiable depending on previous experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work in accordance with established safety and housekeeping standards, and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain quality and cleanliness of the work area and lab equipment.
• Responsible for accurately testing products and approving them in a timely manner.
• Provide corrective recommendations to problems in relation to the quality and approval of production batches.
• Make recommendations to R & D Coatings lab regarding required formulation changes.
• Makes decisions on the acceptability of product being produced, make adjustments to batches as necessary, and ensure that quality standards are maintained.
• Adjust production batches to achieve conformity to specifications.
• Ensure daily assigned calibrations are in working order.
• Interact with manufacturing employees to resolve quality issues and possible detection of causes/trends as they occur.
• Complete quality documents and electronic records to maintain accurate paperwork of results.
• Maintain required production database information.
• Follow all standard technical procedures, and exercise good judgment and initiative.
• Compile data on batch corrections.
• Operate computerized color system. (Input color standards, batch history and color matching).
• Follow all Safety and Work standard operating procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in chemical environment and/or paint
• University or College Chemistry Graduate, preferably with 2 years' experience in a QC Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of working in a team environment and the willingness to be cross-functional
• Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Competency with weighing and dispensing equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb regularly
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Strong work ethic, with a can-do attitude
• Familiar with ISO and 5S is preferred

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
