Quality Control Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Control Technician, you will partner with the Shift Supervisor and production leads and shift team members to provide Quality Control support in the manufacturing of our medical device products. Respond to Quality concerns experienced by manufacturing. Perform process audit, to ensure product is manufactured within specifications under validated processes and/or defined by approved setups. Assist in preventative corrective actions process within areas of their control. Activities and decisions made are for the best interest of Aptyx considering External and Internal Customers. When Off-shift, activities performed must be in alignment with duties defined below to ensure Quality role and responsibility is fulfilled. This position requires the ability to work continental shift rotation

Key responsibilities:



Performs in-process audits for equipment, documentation, and product inspection and testing Works with Production Supervisor based on Production Scheduling to plan workload and defined Process Audits, AQL's (based on CAPA matrix) to ensure quality and delivery time product is fulfilled Generates Quality Alerts (QA) for manufacturing challenges that may arise reactively and proactively Fulfill requirements as per NCR matrix and Process Map Maintain and organize Quarantine Area Responsible to perform In-coming inspection for purchased components Initiate preventative corrective actions (CAPA) based on audit findings Performs training to production staff and applicable areas to meet Quality Requirements based on SOP's, ITP's, QA's, SPC, etc. Work as part of a Cross functional team and independently with excellent personal time management skills, creating a collaborative project environment is essential. Identify ways to improve processes in within the organization. Identify preventative actions which could lead to cost savings and continuous improvement efforts Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and Problem-solving capabilities. Flexible during times of change. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

Employment and Educational Requirements:



Previous Quality training and working experience required. Working as part of a team and independently Problem solving and bring solutions to problems Basic computer skills (Microsoft word, excel, outlook) Excellent written and oral communication and training skills Willingness to learn new skills, abilities, and adaptable to change Strong ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, pinch gauge etc.) Familiar with hand held measuring instruments (calipers, pinch gauge etc) Able to remain calm under pressure and apply task priority management Able to lift up to 35lbs.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$21.68 per hour

Work Location: In person
