Position Summary



Essential Job Functions

1. Performs facility, products and process inspections and communicate findings and any deviations to Facility Manager and production supervision. Effectively recognizes and investigates quality and food safety concerns and acts to correct problems in a timely and orderly manner.

2. Working knowledge of quality practices and procedures and the ability to coordinate and maintain BRC and HACCP programs.

3. Night shift work required

4. Maintain approved supplier and materials documentation.

Document all QA activities accurately and in a timely manner. Collect and submits samples for laboratory analysis. Assist with investigations of consumer/customer complaints.
5. Assist operations to ensure compliance with all procedures and policies for staff safety, product safety and quality and waste reduction. Ensure compliance with all record keeping requirements. Follow up on all deviations, identifying their root cause, the appropriate corrective and preventative actions.

6. CCP monitoring and follow deviation and corrective action procedures.

7. Evaluate and communicate on trends of product specifications and related analysis.

8. Performing product sensory evaluations daily and communicating quality concerns to PC's and follow up on corrective actions.

9. Supporting role in the development of R&D and new product development.

10. Report observations of any deviation to established processes, GMP's, standard operating procedures, and standards.

11. Report any deviations from established product quality standards or non-conformities, which may result in a food safety assessment and possible placement of product on a QA HOLD.

12. Perform post allergen cleaning verification, ATP and environmental swabbing and record keeping in all areas of facility. Coordination of sending samples to the lab and obtaining reports from them.

13. Support training and orientation of new employees and provide training of QA and food safety manners. Perform on-the-job staff training and staff evaluation and verification throughout all shifts.

14. Effectively monitor shift sanitation, ensure daily and non-daily tasks are completed properly and timely with compliance of record keeping requirements.

15. Effectively perform Glass and Brittle plastic inspection.

16. Perform scale and thermometer calibration.

17. Assist and participate as required in third party and customer audits.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
