Position Overview
The
Quality Control Technician
is responsible for all aspects of quality control and quality assurance during the production of precast concrete drainage products. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position involves working closely with production teams to maintain quality management processes, conduct inspections, and review data to maintain compliance with quality standards.
This opportunity is for a temporary contract from approximately November 2025 to October 2026.
Job Responsibilities
Daily inspection of all products to ensure that all products meet current standards.
Defective products to be quarantined in designated areas.
Label and stamp production once it passes inspections.
Pre-pour and post-pour dimensional checks on product and keep proper documentation.
Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing and inspection of raw materials and products.
Maintain records of all quality, test and inspection reports.
Assist Production Supervisors and the Plant Manager to correct any quality issues that should arise.
Ensure compliance to any special quality assurance procedures required by project specifications.
Support the QC Supervisor during plant certification audits.
Perform other duties that may be assigned by the QC Supervisor.
Maintain a safe work environment for employees.
Participate in training sessions on quality management practices for new employees.
Qualifications
Post secondary education in a Construction/Civil related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
Work experience in the concrete industry is an asset.
Previous experience and familiarity with Quality Control methodologies and tools used in manufacturing environments.
ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1 certification is an asset
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Advanced problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members.
Must be comfortable
working outdoors
in all conditions
