Job Summary Reporting to the Vice President, Operations the Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for the development and compliance of Swegon North America\'s Quality Management System based on ISO9001:2015 quality management system. The incumbent will manage quality policies, procedures, processes, programs, and play a vital role in promoting continuous improvement culture in multi-plant environment. Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, processes, programs, and practices as per ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and ensure continuing compliance
Plan and conduct internal quality audits
Track, report and resolve quality issues in an effective and efficient manner
Oversee non-conformance program with pragmatic and process-oriented root cause analysis with appropriate corrective and preventative action to address the root cause(s)
Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
Champion and/or participate a program for the implementation and sustainment of a continuous improvement culture
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
Define, maintain and update the quality control plan for all manufacturing processes
Manage the document system to ensure procedures and design documents are up to date
Ensure appropriate standards and regulations including but not limited to ISO 9001 compliance
Manage, coach and develop a high performing Quality Operations teams that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
Liaise with supply chain to resolve supplier quality issues
Be confident in decision making and be willing to push back on staff when QMS or workmanship standards are not in compliance
Build effective working relationships with all departments and plant leadership
Carry out other trainings and assigned responsibilities as needed
Perform supply chain audits, process audits and lead internal ISO audits and act as a Lead Auditor to manage auditing teams; and
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous experience in setting up ISO 9000 QA Management system in multi plant environment
Post-Secondary Education in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or other related discipline
5+ years of experience in a Quality and Manufacturing Engineering role in a custom fabrication or manufacturing environment
Good understanding and experience ERP/MRP system in a manufacturing environment
Experience with common continuous improvement tools
Understanding of LEAN principles of manufacturing
Keen attention to detail
Problem solving skills to find solutions for various quality issues
Strong multitasking skills to transition between tasks
Excellent MS Office computer skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
Commitment to product quality and delivery deadlines based on cost and time constraints
Enthusiastic, energetic, positive working attitude
Exemplary organization and time management skills; excellent multitasking ability
Strong ethics and values
This will be a combination of work between the office and the plant floor
