Position Title:QC Grader

Summary of Position:

The Quality Control Grader is responsible for performing a series of tests (safely) on the sample product and operating all relevant equipment in QC lab (lab fryer, length classifier, salt analyzer, etc). They use specification provided by the customer, and grade the final product based on test results

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

• Comply with all McCain QC procedures, safety policies and regulations
• Collect product samples from the packaging line every \xc2\xbd hour
• Perform a series of tests on the sample product, operating all relevant equipment in QC lab (lab fryer, length classifier, salt analyzer, etc.)
• Using specifications provided by the customer, grade the final product based on test results
• Must learn how to use SAP, WMS, Crystal Reports, and SPC software
• Complete the required documentation
• Communicate test results to resolve quality issues with Supervision and Operators on a regular basis
• Conduct metal detector and x-ray verifications
• Set up case code and loma requirement
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)

• High School graduate or Grade 12 GED
• Previous Quality Control experience is a definite asset
• Ability to work on a rotating shift basis
• Physically capable of performing all required duties (lifting up to 42 lbs)
• Familiar with the safe handling of chemicals in accordance with WHMIS and McCain Policies
• Must attend yearly internal sensory training
• Must have strong computer, mathematic, and organizational skills
• Must have strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
• Must maintain good working relationship with supervision and coworkers
• Must have safe work habits
