Job Overview


We are looking for a highly organized, documentation-focused QA / Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our operations team. This role is essential to ensuring that incoming and outgoing materials meet strict quality standards, are properly documented, and are handled with care. The successful candidate will thrive in a hands-on environment, understand the importance of paperwork accuracy, and be committed to supporting complex project workflows.

Duties



Perform quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring compliance with purchase orders and project requirements, including photographs of all materials for reference. Inspect fabricated and machined components using mechanical drawings and basic measuring tools Verify and collect required documentation (e.g., MTRs, test reports, paint certs) per PO and contract requirements and notify appropriate parties of missing documentation, errors, etc. Gather and prepare all documentation for QAQC manuals per customer contracts. Gather, label, and organize project materials. Stay in contact with vendors to ensure materials are being shipped on time. Create detailed packing lists and labels for job mobilizations, ensuring technicians can easily locate required items on site Upon demobilization, sort and clean returned items, inspect tools, dispose of unusable materials, and report any needed repairs, recertifications, etc. Maintain accurate digital and physical records Package and label outgoing shipments with correct documentation and details per company standards and customer requirements Prepare all documentation in-detail related to outbound shipments. Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to arrange and ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments by phone and email Prepare documentation such as commercial invoices and certificates of origin for cross-border shipments and coordinate with customs brokers Operate forklift, overhead crane, and other machinery to move materials within the warehouse Assist with shop prep and field crew support when needed Maintain a clean and organized warehouse & office environment Use basic hand and power tools for light fabrication or preparation tasks Assist with other warehouse and administrative duties as needed Assist work crews in field/warehouse if a second set of hands are required.

Qualifications



High school diploma or equivalent required Forklift certification required Overhead Crane & Rigging certification an asset (training available) Basic math and measurement skills Familiarity with QAQC documentation standards preferred Minimum 1 year experience in QA/QC or shipping & receiving Mechanically and electrically inclined; able to read basic drawings and match parts Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook) Valid Class 5 driver's license Comfortable lifting and moving heavy items regularly Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities Familiarity with commercial invoicing and customs documentation an asset Knowledge of crane parts, hoists, and industrial components an asset Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Clear written and verbal communication Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach Team-oriented and willing to assist across departments Accountability for documentation and follow-through
