About the Role
Summary:
The Purchasing and Planning coordinator will be responsible to assist in and serve as back up for the Production Planning & Purchasing functions to ensure uninterrupted support for these critical areas of our operations.
Responsibilities
Support implementation of Engineering changes in coordination with Engineering, Production and Quality departments.
Execute MRP software; generate and distribute Work Orders/Purchase Orders based on Production Schedule.
Issue Purchase Orders for equipment/building repair and maintain records.
Track Purchase Orders and ensure timely delivery.
Issue Work Orders to plant departments.
Update software for pricing discrepancies post investigation.
Calculate and communicate lead time for Miura finished products.
Update relevant departments with lead time information of Purchased goods.
Follow up on ageing work orders and investigate the root cause of delays.
Update production schedules periodically to reflect actual production status.
Support operations department on any projects/duties assigned.
About You
What makes you a perfect fit:
Post-secondary diploma or degree from a recognized institution in supply chain management field or business admin
1-2 years of experience in production planning, material management and/or purchasing (asset) Ability to work independently, concisely, and accurately to meet deadlines;
Effective analytical and critical thinking skills;
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
Excellent interpersonal skills (interacting with supervisors, staff and suppliers);
Ability to communicate effectively with strong written, listening, and presentation skills;
Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities to bring projects to completion using initiative and creativity in dynamic manufacturing environment with minimal supervision;
Ability to lift and move materials as required
