The Seabee Gold Operation is an underground gold mining and milling operation, located near Laonil Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, approximately 125 kilometers northeast of the town of La Ronge. The Santoy underground mine has been in continuous commercial production since 2014. Commercial production at the Seabee underground mine commenced in 1991 and exhausted Mineral Resources in 2018. All ore is processed at the Seabee mill facility, which has been in operation since 1991.
This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert & La Ronge.
Responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of materials to meet customer order requirements and maintain stock inventory levels within approved guidelines.


  • Source vendors for materials, equipment, or supplies.

  • Obtain quotations from suppliers.

  • Do backorder checks.

  • Investigate invoice pricing variance from purchase orders and amend where necessary.

  • Purchasing material for inventory and non-stock items for branches and customer orders.

  • Track orders and confirm system lead times, delivery dates and costs.

  • Resolving errors on purchase orders as required.

  • Investigating and determining what/how/ why material came in incorrectly or damaged (for non-conformances).

  • Reviewing open Purchase Orders not printed.

  • Reviewing reports for stock outs and expediting open orders.

  • Monitoring price increases and communicating changes as necessary.

  • Communicate with warehouse staff to deal with any inventory related issues.

The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of related Purchasing experience. Good computer skills are required, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel (creating and updating spreadsheets). Excellent communications skills along with the ability to handle multiple priorities are essential.
The successful candidate will have strong work ethic communication and problem-solving skills. The ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with the utmost professionalism, discretion and confidentiality is essential.
