Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong background in patient care within a hospital setting. This role involves providing therapeutic services, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient. The Psychotherapist will also engage in research activities and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Duties

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for children and adolescents. Assess patient needs through interviews, observations, and standardized assessments. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical evaluations. Provide case management services to coordinate care with other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including data collection and documentation of progress. Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with colleagues and in documentation. Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving therapeutic practices and outcomes. Collaborate with special education staff to support patients with unique learning needs.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a therapeutic or clinical setting is essential. Previous hospital experience is preferred, showcasing familiarity with medical environments. Knowledge of pediatrics, including developmental milestones and common psychological disorders in children. Experience in case management, ensuring comprehensive care for patients through collaboration with various healthcare providers. Familiarity with data collection methods and the ability to analyze information for treatment planning. Understanding of medical terminology relevant to psychological practice. Experience or training related to special education is a plus, enhancing the ability to support diverse patient needs. Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
