The Psychotherapist provides mental health counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families using evidence-based modalities. This role involves evaluating clients' mental health status, developing treatment plans, and supporting clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and interpersonal issues.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct
comprehensive psychosocial assessments
and diagnostic evaluations using DSM-5 criteria.
Develop and implement
individualized treatment plans
in collaboration with clients.
Provide
individual, group, couples, or family therapy
using modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, psychodynamic, or trauma-informed approaches.
Maintain
accurate and timely clinical documentation
in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.
Monitor client progress, adjust treatment interventions as needed, and collaborate with other healthcare providers when appropriate.
Participate in
case consultations
, team meetings, or supervision (if applicable).
Stay informed on current best practices, research, and professional development through continuing education.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and adhere to ethical and legal standards.
Qualifications
Education
: Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.
Licensure
(Required): Active and unrestricted North Carolina state license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LP, PsyD, PhD).
Experience
: 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred.
