Position Overview
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Psychotherapist to join our dynamic team in Ottawa, Ontario. This role is primarily in-person, allowing you to work closely with clients and colleagues in our state-of-the-art facilities. However, we also offer flexible options for including remote work.
As a Psychotherapist at CCCBT, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based interventions to individuals, families, and groups. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CBT and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care. Serious Mental Health Services

This clinic delivers structured, formulation-driven CBT for individuals with complex mental health presentations, including psychosis, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and chronic suicidality. Our clinicians provide manualized and individualized interventions with a focus on recovery, identity, and long-term functional outcomes. This stream is ideal for psychologists with experience or interest in CBT for psychosis, DBT, or schema-informed work.

Operational Stress Injury Services (OSIS)

Our OSIS clinic supports Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans, and public safety personnel (e.g., police, firefighters, paramedics) experiencing PTSD, moral injury, and other service-related psychological challenges. We offer trauma-informed, culturally competent care, grounded in CBT, CPT, PE, and related evidence-based approaches. Clinicians working in this stream benefit from training, peer consultation, and regular contact with community stakeholders.
Women's Mental Health Program
This stream provides gender-informed psychological services for women and gender-diverse individuals facing challenges related to trauma, mood disorders, relational violence, reproductive mental health, and identity. Therapists in this program use trauma-sensitive CBT, ACT, and compassion-focused strategies and collaborate closely with clients to address social, systemic, and developmental influences on well-being.
General Mental Health
This clinic supports individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, burnout, grief, insomnia, health anxiety, perfectionism, and life transitions. Treatment is tailored using CBT protocols and transdiagnostic approaches. We also provide short-term CBT coaching for clients seeking rapid skill-building in areas such as procrastination, assertiveness, and emotional regulation.

Assessment and Consultation Services

Our psychologists conduct comprehensive assessments for diagnostic clarification, treatment planning, academic accommodations, and disability documentation. This includes psychodiagnostic and functional assessments for youth and adults across various settings.
Responsibilities
Provide evidence-based interventions, with a primary focus on cognitive behavioural therapy, to clients of varying ages and backgrounds.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential clinical records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and collaborative discussions to enhance client outcomes and professional growth.
Stay updated on advancements in CBT and related therapeutic approaches, applying them to clinical practice.
Mentor and supervise trainees or junior team members, as needed, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications
Master's degree in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, or related discipline from a recognized and accredited institution.
Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, College of Social Workers of Ontario, College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, or equivalent regulatory body.
Demonstrated expertise in delivering cognitive behavioural therapy interventions.
Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience in supervising or mentoring would be considered an asset.
