Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health care, particularly with children, and will be responsible for providing therapeutic support to clients in various settings. This role requires a commitment to patient care, case management, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities



Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of children and adolescents. Develop and implement treatment plans based on thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical personnel and educators, to provide comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards. Engage in data collection and research activities to contribute to the ongoing improvement of therapeutic practices. Provide case management services, including coordinating referrals and resources for clients and their families. Stay current with developments in pediatric mental health and special education practices.

Skills



Experience working with children, adult and seniors in a therapeutic or educational setting is essential. Familiarity with private settings , collaborative care environments and protocols is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to mental health care. Proven ability in case management and patient care strategies. Knowledge of special education processes and how they intersect with mental health services is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and colleagues. License and Registration



*Licensed and in good standing with college of Psychotherapist of Ontario.

*Experience in private settings is an asset but new grads welcome.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $54.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week

CRPO License (required)
