Maratos Counselling & Consulting is a therapy practice that has been a part of the Brantford area for 10 years. We are proud of the reputation we have built, the connections we have cultivated and most importantly, the high quality therapeutic support we provide. We're known for clinical depth, ethical practice, and a strong team culture. Our Brantford office is welcoming and professional who lives within a reasonable commute to our community for in-person work. We value therapist self-care, so if you will be commuting more than 40 minutes to our office, you aren't a good fit.

The Role:

We're hiring a

Master's-level Psychotherapist

with a

primary focus on children, adolescents, and families

. You've got to love this work to be good at it. You know this means you will have to work after 4:00 to serve this population. You're grounded in evidence-based care, skilled at rapport-building, and eager to continue learning.

Training/experience with ADHD and Autism

is a strong asset.

You're also business-minded: you want to grow your caseload and lean into developing your professional profile with our guidance. You aren't afraid to cultivate community connections, remain aware of key referral sources and how we can meet their needs. You want to become the expert, go-to therapist for your population.

What You'll Do:

Provide individual therapy to children and teens. We believe therapists who support kids need to actively involve caregivers. This means navigating conflict, managing trauma, repairing relationships and fostering re-connection. Deliver clear, ethical documentation through Jane App and create high-quality treatment plans that produce results. Maintain a consistent evening schedule; daytime hours are available if desired Participate in peer consultation and engage in ongoing professional development Contribute to a positive, professional team culture

What You Bring (the non-negotiables):

Master's or Doctoral degree

and registration in good standing with

one

of: OCSWSSW, CRPO, CNO, COTO, or CPO; current liability insurance Demonstrated experience in

child & adolescent psychotherapy.

Competence in relevant modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT-informed, ACT, play-based/expressive approaches, attachment- and regulation-focused work). A clear vision for your practice and excitement to build it.

Evening availability

and the ability to commit to

15-25 clinical hours/week

(with additional admin time to complete ethical documentation). High professional ethics as an

independent contractor

; reliability, accountability, and strong boundaries. Comfort with technology (Jane, Google tools)

Nice to Have (strong assets):

Training/experience with

ADHD

and/or

Autism

Specialized post-graduate certifications (e.g., Play Therapy, Theraplay, Expressive Arts, family therapy) Experience in community/agency settings and readiness to thrive in private practice Interest in learning the business side of therapy (profile building, networking, outcome-tracking)

Independent Contractor model with competitive split, steady referrals, and infrastructure to support caseload growth. You maintain your professional registration, supervision/consultation plan, and insurance.
