Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team. This individual will work in both the Proshop as well as the Backshop depending on the needs of our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product demonstrations, and supporting sales efforts within our retail environment. They will be flexible and eager to help the team fill it's needs at a time of year when a lot of the staff has left for school. This position requires strong communication skills, a knack for technology sales, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You will be trusted with attending the register/handling customers coming to check-in for golf and when required you will be responsible for handling carts, as well as other duties related to our members (club cleaning, getting their bags ready etc.) as a member of the back shop team.

Duties

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner. Managing tee-times and booking in customers who call. Demonstrate phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries. Engage in retail sales activities, including upselling products and services to enhance customer experience. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate handling of cashiering duties. Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as needed. Communicate effectively with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Exhibit strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail sales or technical sales is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with merchandising principles and practices is a plus. Physically capable, will be required to lift golf-bags for members. Strong organizational skills to maintain order in the shop environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers effectively. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
