We created "The Fueling Station" because, as entrepreneurs, we know first-hand that where you work and who you work with makes a difference. We have been fueling the success of small businesses and start-ups for over a decade at our co-working space in Liberty Village (at 147 Liberty Street, Toronto), and now, we have two locations (the second at 300 Geary Avenue, Toronto)!
About the Position
Working closely with the Management Team, you will manage the day-to-day operations of our space and you will also have other responsibilities such as.managing property/building maintenance, leasing and marketing for The Fueling Station's Liberty Village location.
Our Goals and Objectives are to support the Management team to achieve the following:
Create a welcoming and collaborative community environment amongst our members through events and building relationships between members.
Ensure that our building is fully operational, and processes are running smoothly. This will involve managing maintenance and cleaning contractors to complete evolving lists of improvements.
Drive growth and promotion of The Fueling Station's offerings. We are a great co-working space, and we want you to tell the world!
Duties and Responsibilities
Leasing
Managing leasing for over 40 private office spaces across the 4 buildings in Liberty Village. This includes everything from answering initial inquiries, to touring prospects, to following up for feedback, to lease negotiations with new and existing tenants, to lease amendments, and the coordination of all move-ins/move-outs/lateral moves.
Marketing
- Assisting the Marketing Manager with the marketing of The Fueling Station's Liberty Village buildings in particular, but also in a way that matches our overall branding on various platforms including Spacelist, Listedbyseller,com (MLS andRealtor.ca), Google (Ads), Meta, and the organization's website.
Building / Facility Operations and Management (for 4 commercial buildings in Liberty Village)
Prepare and distribute new member welcome information, keys, and any other move-in/out needs
Manage maintenance contractors, tech support and cleaners. Including gathering quotes (in the case that we want to explore other options), coordinating site visits, negotiating prices/contracts/scope/etc., following up for payment, and cultivating positive relationships with our regular contractors
Managing all tenant turnover including coordinating move-ins, renovations, move-outs, lateral moves, unit inspections, etc.
Tracking and managing all building deficiencies and regular or spontaneous maintenance including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems.
Responding to all deficiencies and maintenance requests or requirements in a timely manner.
Experience and Requirements
Similar role, or experience in administration property management and/or commercial real estate is a plus
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
