Our client in the real estate development industry is looking for an Accountant to join their team. Working in a trendy neighbourhood with a small, dynamic team, this opportunity is ideal for someone who is comfortable in a stand alone role. The Accountant would be responsible for the full cycle of accounting activities for a small commercial shopping centre property, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- AR & AP, including maintenance of customer/vendor data
- Financial and management reporting
- Budgeting
- Supporting annual external audit
- Journal entries, account reconciliations and statutory remittances
- Office administration
- Accounting degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of general accounting experience
- Experience in property development preferred
- Yardi software preferred
- Experience with CAM chargebacks preferred
- Self starter, comfortable with multitasking and managing multiple priorities
- Have attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
