ENGINEERING PROJECT TECHNICIAN \xe2\x80\x93 ENGINEERING LAB

We are currently seeking a Project Technician in Montreal. This position will be part of our Engineering team reporting directly to our Engineering Laboratory Manager. This candidate will be an important member of our team and will manage testing, documentation, and will support various Engineering projects from start to finish. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the new Product Development projects through Stage Gate Process from concept to mass production
• Perform research, analysis and documentation of mechanical, electronics & electromechanics components
• Develop, execute and transfer tests protocols to the product tests and validation teams;
• Participate in the development and validation of new products, components and test benchmarking
• Use electronic measurement equipment (ex: Oscilloscope, Communication, Multimeter\xe2\x80\xa6)
• Generate test reports in English
• Design basic prototypes schematic and electrical wiring diagrams
• Participate in product design review for integration of electronic technologies projects
• Work with the team to scrutinize all technical data/testing analysis and results with the end consumer in mind \xe2\x80\x93 identifying overall risks and developing countermeasures to mitigate these risks while maintaining the intent of the project/product
• Help conduct quality investigations and make recommendations for solutions and improvements to product and processes
• Assist with departmental administrative tasks and follow up as needed to stay on track and remain accountable for objectives

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual French/ English (written and spoken)
• Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Engineering and Research and Development environment
• Technician graduate diploma in electronic or mechanical or equivalent
• Experience in electronic PCBA integration within end products
• General knowledge in Simultaneous (concurrent) Engineering approach and PDP (Product Development process) a plus
• Knowledge of CAD design tools (3D, 2D, PCB and Gerber) a plus
• Knowledge in Kitchen appliances products a plus
• Experiences in a manufacturing environment a plus
• Prior experience working with retailers and/or consumer goods a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio,)
• Knowledge of LabView software a plus

RESPONSABILIT\xc3\x89S :

• Participer aux projets de d\xc3\xa9veloppement de produits et aux processus \xc2\xab stage gate \xc2\xbb
• G\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rer des recherches, des analyses et de la documentation sur les composants m\xc3\xa9caniques, \xc3\xa9lectroniques et \xc3\xa9lectrom\xc3\xa9caniques
• D\xc3\xa9velopper, ex\xc3\xa9cuter et transf\xc3\xa9rer des protocoles de tests aux \xc3\xa9quipes de tests et de validation des produits
• Participer au d\xc3\xa9veloppement et \xc3\xa0 la validation de nouveaux produits, composants et de banc d\xe2\x80\x99essai
• Utiliser des \xc3\xa9quipements de mesure \xc3\xa9lectronique (ex: Oscilloscope, Communication, Multim\xc3\xa8tre...)
• G\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rer des rapports de tests en anglais
• Concevoir des prototypes, sch\xc3\xa9matiques et des sch\xc3\xa9mas de c\xc3\xa2blage \xc3\xa9lectriques
• Participer \xc3\xa0 des revues de conception des produits et int\xc3\xa9gration de projets technologique \xc3\xa9lectroniques
• Travailler avec l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe pour \xc3\xa9valuer les donn\xc3\xa9es techniques / l\xe2\x80\x99analyse des tests et les r\xc3\xa9sultats en gardant \xc3\xa0 l\xe2\x80\x99esprit le clients finaux - en identifiant les risques globaux et en \xc3\xa9laborant des contre-mesures pour att\xc3\xa9nuer ces risques tout en maintenant l\xe2\x80\x99intention du projet / produits
• Aider \xc3\xa0 \xc3\xa9valuations de qualit\xc3\xa9 de produits et faire des recommandations pour des solutions et des am\xc3\xa9liorations aux produits et aux processus
• Aider aux t\xc3\xa2ches de documentation et assurer le suivi au besoin pour rester sur la bonne voie et rester responsable des objectifs

QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES :

• Bilingue fran\xc3\xa7ais/anglais (\xc3\xa9crit et parl\xc3\xa9)
• Minimum de 3 ans d\xe2\x80\x99exp\xc3\xa9rience en environnement ing\xc3\xa9nierie et recherche et d\xc3\xa9veloppement
• Dipl\xc3\xb4me d\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9tudes technicien \xc3\xa9lectronique ou m\xc3\xa9canique ou l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quivalent
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience dans l\xe2\x80\x99int\xc3\xa9gration de PCBA \xc3\xa9lectronique dans les produits finaux
• Connaissances g\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rales en approche d\xe2\x80\x99ing\xc3\xa9nierie simultan\xc3\xa9e (simultan\xc3\xa9e) et PDP (processus de d\xc3\xa9veloppement de produits), un atout
• Connaissance des outils de conception CAO (3D, 2D, PCB et Gerber), un atout
