Job Description


Overview:
As the Project Manager you are responsible for planning and managing projects to ensure successful delivery of the project objectives. You will organize and lead the project team in the development and execution of the implementation plan, to satisfy the project goals as a project champion, working collaboratively with Business Owners, Product Managers and other business leaders. You will often lead medium to complex size project teams and teams of direct and indirect project staff, including consultants. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full project life cycle from initiation to closeout, ensuring all the requisite key controls are in place to manage project constraints to baseline e.g. scope, schedule, budget and quality.
  • Understand business objectives, strategies and the project\xe2\x80\x99s business case; explore the scope of business issues and prepare a project plan, including estimating required resources and timelines.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues that emerge throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project discussions and participate as an active member of the project team.
  • Manage, co-ordinate, and schedule project resources and activities to ensure tasks are executed according to the project plan and objectives.
  • Develop and manage the project schedule, milestones, deliverables, and action items for projects.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification or designation is an asset.
  • Supplementary courses in Project Management i.e. Risk Management, Program Management, and Agile Project Management are an asset.
  • Seven years\xe2\x80\x99 related experience, including three years managing medium projects and special initiatives.
  • Specific experience in a project environment and/or process review is an asset.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a diversified work group/project team.
  • Strong strategic and tactical planning skills, with the ability to align business and technology planning.
  • Knowledge of MS Teams, Azure DevOps, Miro, PowerBi
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of software including Visio, SharePoint, and MS Project.
