Our PMO team supports multiple modes of delivery. As a Project Manager, you will have a minimum of 5 years leading technology projects with a proven track record to successfully deliver projects on time, budget and scope including Change Management. You will also have experience as a practical Scrum Master guiding our hybrid teams towards efficient and successful delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

This competitively rewarded role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, in-person events or activities will be required of you.

The role:

  • Lead cross-functional teams (e.g. business leaders, subject matter experts, and/or third-party resources) through the end to end project delivery lifecycle to achieve business objectives.
  • Scrum Process Facilitation serving as a servant leader for one or more Agile teams, ensuring that Scrum practices are understood and followed. Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Negotiate and collaborate with vendors and system implementors at all levels while managing vendor financial and operational performance against contractual requirements.
  • Plan and deliver complex projects within scope, budget, time and expected benefits while following the appropriate Vancity Project Delivery methodology and guidelines.
  • Foster relationships with Sponsor(s) and senior stakeholders to ensure business needs and initiative deliverables/outcomes are in alignment. Proactively mitigate and escalate issues for joint resolution with Technology and Business stakeholders.
  • Present at the Steering Committee/to Senior Leadership and address expectations and concerns through clear communication and pro-active follow-ups.
  • Appropriately select an implementation methodology (i.e. agile, waterfall, hybrid) based on the nature of the work and other organizational factors. Identify and work to resolve delivery dependencies within assigned project, the broader Strategic/Technology Initiatives portfolio and Operational priorities.
  • Capture and monitor delivery metrics and work to continuously improve quality, velocity and time to market.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team resources, influencing them and their teams to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Contribute to the improvement of project management best practices across the enterprise and help drive consistency, transparency and execution on projects.
  • Provide clear, timely and accurate communications to the project team members on all aspects of the project, including decisions made by the Steering Committee; manage project integration and co-ordination

You have:
  • A minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience delivering technology initiatives
  • PMP designation or similar
Bonus points, if you have:
  • Experience working in the Financial Services or Financial Technologies industries
  • CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
  • PgMP designation or similar
  • ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) designation or similar
  • Lean Six Sigma certification / training
  • Prosci or similar Organizational Change Management training

In this role, you will report into Manager, Project Deliver as part of IT Solutions Division.

Salary Range: 81,200.00 to 122,000.00
