Project Manager (temporary Contract)

Job Description



The person in this role is responsible for managing, reviewing, and improving existing processes and tools, while ensuring their proper functioning and sustainability.


They serve as the point of contact for all stages of a project: identifying issues and needs in collaboration with various stakeholders, analyzing them, proposing solutions, and implementing them.



Responsibilities:




The main and usual duties of this position are:

Ensure and/or define improvements to the quality of systems and processes by implementing best practices and/or appropriate techniques; Meet with clients, gather, analyze, and understand their needs, and ensure their understanding and involvement in upcoming initiatives; Define and apply best methods and practices, and contribute to their development and implementation; Determine the necessary team resources, in collaboration with various managers (availability, skills), and ensure proper knowledge transfer; Contribute to the implementation of suitable methodologies to ensure effective project management, respecting constraints such as quality, budget, and timelines; Understand intra- and inter-departmental processes, workflows, and interrelationships, and collaborate with internal partner teams to orchestrate and facilitate the implementation of optimal solutions, improvement projects, and workshops; Monitor project progress (support to teams/projects/production), provide expert advice for project initiatives, and regularly communicate progress and achievements to stakeholders, ensuring proper communication among all collaborators; Complete project closure activities (evaluation, post-mortem, accounting); Conduct proactive follow-ups with clients and on assigned mandates; Maintain up-to-date client information, including production mandates, overall satisfaction, timelines, etc.; Provide regular reports on project status, escalate risks and scope issues when needed; Ensure quality communication with clients (frequency, adaptation to context and product, etc.).

Qualifications



University degree in a relevant field.


Training/excellent knowledge/certification in project management or continuous process improvement methodologies is an asset.

Relevant Experience:




4 to 10 years of experience in a relevant discipline.
