Assignment Description

Our Client requires the services of one or two intermediate or senior project managers to join its team to support the execution of projects throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

Requirements:

\xef\x82\xb7 Past project management experience involving terminal station work up to 230 kV

voltage level;

\xef\x82\xb7 Electrical Engineering Degree (preferred) or Electrical Technology Diploma with PM

experience (minimum 15 years), as above;

Duties

\xef\x82\xb7 Complete project scope statements;

\xef\x82\xb7 Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing

needs and requirements;

\xef\x82\xb7 Set up project work orders in JDE E1 Enterprise Management System;

\xef\x82\xb7 Support the customer construction billing process by working with Client\xe2\x80\x99s Key Accounts Lead;

\xef\x82\xb7 Develop realistic schedules in conjunction with the project team, Planner, other PMs, Operations and Newfoundland and Labrador System Operator (NLSO) to complete projects;

\xef\x82\xb7 Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scopes of work;

\xef\x82\xb7 Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) through continual improvement and active participation in corporate HSE processes;

\xef\x82\xb7 Initiate and monitor all aspects of projects to ensure compliance with schedules and

budgets;

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure project change requests are properly evaluated and authorized;

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure all approved changes are communicated to the project team and reflected in the active project budget and schedule;

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure that potential impacts of project changes from cost, schedule, safety and

quality/reliability perspectives are identified and communicated to stakeholders in a

timely manner;

\xef\x82\xb7 Establish and manage project risk registers;

\xef\x82\xb7 Identify and respond to issues, implement timely interventions or escalate as required to ensure project outcomes comply with project plans;

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure that terms of agreements or commitments are understood and fully respected;

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure that work packages are developed and leveraged by the project team;

\xef\x82\xb7 Determine insurance requirements for projects in consultation with Hydro\xe2\x80\x99s Risk and

Insurance Division;

\xef\x82\xb7 Establish the necessary level of site presence during project execution;

\xef\x82\xb7 Manage the commissioning phase of the work;

\xef\x82\xb7 Complete monthly capital reports, commitments and accruals;

\xef\x82\xb7 Complete year-end capital reports, project closeout and asset assignment activities;

\xef\x82\xb7 Participate in Weekly Terminals\xe2\x80\x99 Checkpoints with Operations and the NLSO;

\xef\x82\xb7 Ensure continual improvement is nurtured through lessons learned sessions, supporting innovative approaches and communication to other project teams; and

\xef\x82\xb7 Communicate with Operations on a regular basis.

Special Conditions:

A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license will be required as there will be some travel involved.

Duration

Anticipated Start Date: February 5, 2024 Anticipated End Date: December 21, 2024 with potential for extension.

Estimated Effort Time: 37.5 hours per week
