Job Description

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Project Manager. This is a 1-year Onsite contract opportunity with a possibility of extension. This role is with one of our public sector client based in Ottawa. The successful candidate must have a valid Secret level security clearance, and be eligible for a controlled goods clearance.

The Project Manager will have the following responsibilities:

\xc2\xadCreate clear and attainable project plans and schedules, build project requirements, and manage project costs, time, scope, and quality;

\xc2\xadIdentify resource needs and work with resource managers to assign individual responsibilities;

Manage day-to day operational aspects of the project and scope and provide relevant project information to stakeholders;

Ensure documents are complete, current, and stored following project or departmental policies;

Manage both internal and external approvals, Monitor scope creep and re-scope project;

Track project issues, risk, and decisions, prepare risk mitigation strategies;

Assist in the development of performance metrics and/or standards that could be applied during the implementation of any initiatives or support activities;

Define, document, and maintain plans, determine budgetary requirements, the composition, roles and responsibilities and terms of reference for the project resources using a variety of project management tools;

Coordinate the development of training and coordination with various stakeholders;

Create presentations and present to various stakeholders and facilitate meetings and discussions.

The Project Manager must meet the following mandatory requirements:

Must have a university degree or diploma in Business Administration or any related field;

Must have 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager;

2+ years experience issuing Statements of requirement;

2+ years experience inssuing RFI, RFP or Project Charter documents;

Must be willing to work on site in Ottawa;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

PMP certification would be an asset;
