Reporting to the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO), the Projects Manager will be responsible for carrying out, according to the vision of the project owner and the BGP methodology, process real estate infrastructure projects improvement projects or any other type of projects under the mandate of the BGP. As such, the project manager works in close collaboration with the real estate department and As such, the Project Manager ensures that project deliverables are compliant and ready on time, that organizational goals are met while employing best practices in project management. He/she builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and acts as the primary contact for the overall project.

Principal tasks:

  • Collaborate with the Real Estate department to ensure the management of the organization's infrastructure projects;
  • Acts as a reference regarding the implementation of best practices in project management and PMO tools, promotes their use within the company, and ensures their ongoing improvement;
  • Participates in the development and realization of the purpose of the project (charter) with the owner;
  • Develops the project management plan (detailed planning of all project activities and resources), and validates with the owner;
  • Executes the project management plan, and ensures alignment with the interests of internal and external stakeholders at all stages of the project life cycle;
  • Coordinates, manages and ensures alignment, and fosters engagement of the project team and stakeholders;
  • Uses best practices in each of the PMBOK's "knowledge areas";
  • Facilitates project team meetings, communication between cross-functional teams and decision-making;
  • Provides stakeholders with training on the project implementation process and all related tools;
  • Monitors and controls the progress of the project, and communicates, analyzes and documents relevant information;
  • Ensures the closure of the project and lessons learned;
  • Manages priorities for multiple assigned projects;
Requirements:
  • Formal project management training;
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience; experience in project management in construction;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written; in French and English)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project);
  • Green belt/Black belt certification, an asset;
  • PMI certification and knowledge of PMBOK, an asset
  • knowledge of Lean methods and problem solving tools;
  • Good command of project management practices, tools and methodology.
  • Excellent collaborative leadership, ability to act as a facilitator and mobilize cross-functional teams
  • Ability to see the big picture while being thorough
  • Strategic thinking and good analytical skills
  • Sense of anticipation and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent planning, organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to handle pressure, adapt to a fast-paced environment and change operational priorities
