About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager (Non-IT)
to support client with large, complex, and politically sensitive strategic initiatives. This role focuses on
business transformation
,
service delivery
,
policy and program changes
, and
organizational improvements
, rather than IT system delivery.
The Project Manager will lead all phases of project planning, execution, delivery, and close-out while ensuring compliance with PMO standards and business objectives.
This is an
onsite role in Edmonton
with frequent face-to-face meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply project management standards and work with the PMO to define new standards when required.
Develop project charters, business cases, proposals, and other planning documents.
Establish project governance structures with clear roles and responsibilities.
Manage and control project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, quality, and deliverables.
Contribute to deliverables such as research, survey design, report writing, and documentation.
Monitor and report on project progress at regular intervals.
Lead and facilitate project team meetings and steering committee meetings.
Manage change requests, obtain approvals, and communicate updates to sponsors and PMO.
Proactively identify risks, issues, and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
Provide business analysis, process improvement, change management, and communication support.
Ensure proper project closure including documentation hand-off and lessons learned.
Mandatory Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (Required)
PMP or equivalent Project Management designation (Required)
Soft Skills:
Strong conflict management and stress management abilities
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to manage senior stakeholders and communicate status clearly
Comfortable leading daily in-person meetings
Onsite Requirement:
Must be available for
onsite meetings in Edmonton - minimum 3 times per week
Must be available for frequent in-person meetings with clients

Pay: $60.00-$75.00 per hour
