Adhere to PMO-defined standards, processes, and methodologies.
Collaborate with the PMO to develop new standards where gaps exist.
Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, documentation guidelines, and approval workflows.
2. Planning & Initiation
Work with program areas to prepare:
Project proposals
Project charters
Scope documents
Detailed project plans and artifacts
Establish roles, responsibilities, decision-making structures, and communication plans.
Identify milestones, deliverables, dependencies, success measures, and resource requirements.
3. Project Execution & Oversight
Manage project scope, timelines, budget, quality, and performance indicators.
Oversee day-to-day activities to ensure timely and quality execution.
Contribute to creating deliverables such as research, surveys, analysis, and reports.
Conduct status meetings and issue structured progress updates.
4. Stakeholder Management
Lead meetings, working groups, and steering committees.
Facilitate clear communication between sponsors, committees, stakeholders, and the PMO.
Document changes and coordinate approval processes.
Communicate impacts of changes in a structured, transparent manner.
5. Risk, Issues & Change Management
Proactively identify risks, issues, and opportunities.
Develop mitigation strategies and ensure timely resolution.
Provide support with business analysis, change management, and communication planning.
6. Closeout & Transition
Manage project closure activities including:
Deliverable handover
Documentation archiving
Post-implementation review
Assess project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Capture lessons learned and share with PMO leadership.
Working Conditions
Fully onsite position based in Edmonton, Alberta.
