A renowned community home builder with an excellent reputation for quality is looking for a new Project Manager to join their team.

Project Manager - Low-rise Residential - OttawaThe Project Manager is responsible for contributing and adhering to construction timelines, drive deficiency clean-up of checklists and supporting the development of communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable to the production of allocated homes from backfill to closing
  • Evaluate quality of material and workmanship installed, ensure contractors complete any outstanding deficiencies noted
  • Ensure that construction work is performed in accordance with drawings, specifications, Scopes, etc.
  • Ensure that construction is performed in a safe manner and completed on schedule
  • Scheduling of Trades and Suppliers
  • Monitor all daily trade functions and report issues to Senior Project Manager
  • Apply on location schedules (OLS) and on location warranty (OLW) to manage production schedule
  • Perform and/or manage checklists are complete
  • Manage City Inspections as required and report issues to Senior Project Manager
  • Perform daily quality checks on production homes
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager with overall site management
  • Mentor, manage, delegate and assign tasks to direct staff
  • Ensure direct reports have required materials and tools to be able to complete work orders
  • Ensure all safety requirements are always met
  • Resolve and manage day-to-day problems on the job site (as they arise)
  • Advise the Senior Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc. assist in circumventing /resolving such problems, as required
  • Meet with Senior Project Manager and staff to conduct performance reviews
  • Mentor handyman and labourer
  • Build relationships with trade partners
  • Perform other duties as required

Project Manager - Low-rise Residential - OttawaSkills & Experience:
  • Post-secondary education in construction, project management or related field
  • 3-5 years\' experience in low rise construction in a similar role
  • Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule
  • Ability to assist with supporting construction teams, monitoring progress, providing reports etc
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project, AutoCAD, and other related management software
  • Knowledge of Part 9 OBS considered an asset
  • Sense of urgency: ability to efficiently meet project deadlines
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Be prepared to attend internal weekly meetings held by management
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and fully comprehend construction drawings
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and stress management skills to be able to ensure that tasks get completed on time
  • Valid Driver\'s License

A basic Salary of up to $95,000 (dependent upon experience)
