ClearWater is growing and seeking experienced dedicated Project Managers to play a vital role in securing bids for awarded and upcoming projects. This is an expression of interest for potential upcoming roles available to local candidates. The successful candidates will intensely focus on safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost management. In this position, you will define project objectives and collaborate closely with Turnaround and/or Construction Managers. What would you be doing?

Contract Management Resource Planning

  • Work with the superintendents to expedite and coordinate site resources needed to implement the work effectively, including subcontractors, materials, construction equipment, and labour.
  • Proactively involved in setting client expectations from the Executive level to entry-level staff.
  • Professional and timely communication with partners, vendors, and suppliers that inspires everyone on the project to want to exceed your expectations.
Forecasting
  • Responsible for workforce planning, including developing all work scopes, shift schedules, and fieldwork packages to implement and control all work to a safe and efficient completion.
  • Will provide direction to FLINT Superintendent, General Foreperson, Foreperson and direct field labour.
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all field activities in the assigned territory meet or exceed safety, quality, schedule, and cost by efficiently using all resources, including staffing, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure that daily and weekly short-range planning is implemented correctly at the foreman level.
  • Inspire a culture that supports by example, where your actions and words align with FLINT\'s core values.
Does this sound like you?
  • 5 or more years managing brownfield/greenfield construction, pipeline, and plant shutdowns, including collecting labour supply.
  • Past construction project experience managing multiple projects up to $5 million while using over 50-100 craft personnel and various contractors.
  • Journeyperson Trade certification in a mechanical field or related post-secondary degree would be an asset.
  • A combination of education and experience in business management, project management or other related technical specialties.
  • Excellent experience in interpreting Requests for Proposals.
  • Utilize software systems for estimating, scheduling and project management.
  • Experience analyzing project/operational financial data and implementing performance action plans to improve operating results.
  • Technical ability in the mechanical/piping sector, including shutdown/turnaround implementation, operations coordination, equipment management, cost estimating and bid development.
