Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Program Management, the Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of business transformation projects in support of strategic business objectives. Interacting with business partners and vendors, you will lead change initiatives designed to enhance organizational efficiencies, capabilities, and performance. Projects will be assigned from an approved portfolio of projects and your objectives will be based on progressing projects to successful completion while consistently meeting expectations specific to project scope, schedule, budget, and quality constraints.

Note: 2 days per week in the Collingwood, ON office is required.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver projects using the full SDLC as per the project management methodology, IT and corporate standards, timeframes, and budget requirements
  • Create detailed project plans including project cash flows, schedules with critical paths, and RACI details.
  • Develop the following plans as part of the project management planning: communications management plan, risk management plan, user acceptance testing plans, deployment plans, and other plans to ensure projects are delivered successfully
  • Estimate project budget, timeline, and resources. Track the project\xe2\x80\x99s progress against metrics
  • Develop the business case and project charter with input from the subject matter experts and get approvals following the corporate standards
  • Produce process diagrams, integration, data migration, and reporting requirements as part of the project work, when needed
  • Motivate and coach project team members to complete the project\'s deliverables with high quality
  • Own, prioritize, and coordinate to resolve project issues. Escalate issues to the appropriate level, when needed
  • Follow the IT project change management process and ensure no scope creep occurs
  • Present project status to various audiences in the organization including the executive committee, steering committees, and various other stakeholder groups, as and when required
  • Work with purchasing to evaluate SAAS and other IT projects contracts
  • Reach out to 3rd parties and vendors to solicit information that can help in making the right technology and delivery decisions
  • Lead the solution selection including gathering requirements, gap analysis, soliciting vendor proposals, evaluating proposals, issuing RFPs, and engaging the successful vendor
  • Plan and track contract resources workload to establish an optimum use of resources
  • Plan and manage the UAT and confirm the resolution of all issues requiring resolution before go-live
  • Confirm that all go/no-go decision requirements are fulfilled
  • Ensure that the project meets the IT operations requirements regarding security, application support, and digital strategy
  • Support the solution in production, and follow up with user groups and the operations team for a smooth transition
  • Other tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 progressive experience with at least 5 years of experience in full life cycle IT project management - must have agile experience
  • Experience with mature project management methodologies, preferably in large organizations
  • Must be able to self-manage work and lead project delivery
  • Ability to work in a team environment, in face-to-face and remote settings
  • Ability to take on a leadership role and drive the completion of deliverables
  • Proven ability to meet project deadlines and manage the changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze project risks and plan mitigation strategies
  • Command strong communications skills (written and oral)
  • Demonstrated experience to liaise effectively with business and IT stakeholders
  • Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
Nice to have:
  • Experience in analytics, business intelligence, data warehousing, SAAS solutions
  • Practical experience in the planning and governance of an Enterprise Data Strategy for a distributed environment
  • Relevant experience in the real estate/property management sector
  • PMP and/or other certifications (PSM or CSM)
