The Opportunity
As we continue with our aggressive growth strategy, we are seeking a Project Manager for Fire Protection Division .
As a key operations partner, the Project Manager will oversee daily operations for fire protection installation teams to ensure successful project performance.
The successful candidate will be organized and a motivated team builder. They would be an engaging, empathetic communicator that can connect with people to achieve results. This position would inspire total commitment and compliance from our field team with all aspects of Rotaflow's HSE requirements.
This role will report out of our Head Office location in Edmonton.
Responsibilities:
xc2xb7 Lead and manage our xefxacx81eld installation teams for exefxacx83cient installation of xefxacx81re protection systems.
xc2xb7 Responsible for recruiting and maintaining a quality road crew.
xc2xb7 Develop and maintain manpower loading and project WBS documents.
xc2xb7 Monitor xefxacx81eld work progress and identify when there are delays or issues.
xc2xb7 Conduct regular construction site visits and inspections to keep up to date on the pulse of each project.
xc2xb7 Develop and implement mitigation plans to respond to project challenges.
xc2xb7 Coordinate with the engineering and fabrication shop to ensure material & equipment meet POJ dates.
xc2xb7 Coordinate with our fabrication shop to track material orders & fabrication schedule to ensure project deadlines are met.
xc2xb7 Work with xefxacx81eld personnel to facilitate proper xefxacx82ow of project documentation (i.e. as-built drawings.)
xc2xb7 Ensure Environmental, Health and Safety compliance by to installation teams.
xc2xb7 Lead in exemplifying our core values and bridging the corporate head oxefxacx83ce and xefxacx81eld operations, lead in team building events and initiatives.
Qualifications:
xc2xb7 5 - 10 years of xefxacx81re protection installation experience.
xc2xb7 Experience in installation management would be considered an asset.
xc2xb7 Candidate with PMP designation or sprinkler xefxacx81tter certixefxacx81cation will be considered an asset.
xc2xb7 Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral
xc2xb7 Strong awareness and understanding of construction safety principles.
xc2xb7 Thrive in a fast-paced environment, having the capacity to respond positively to pressure.
xc2xb7 Good working knowledge of Microsoft Oxefxacx83ce programs; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
xc2xb7 40hr Monday to Friday per week with overtime as necessary.
xc2xb7 Travel will be required to visit project sites throughout Alberta.
xc2xb7 Valid Driver's License.

xc2xb7 Conduct a formal walkdown(s) on construction sites with xefxacx81eld team(s).
xc2xb7 Review safety paperwork on a regular basis (FLHA, Permits, HI, SOS, Near Miss Reports, etc.)
xc2xb7 Promote a positive safety culture by example.
KPI-02 Utilization (40%)
Schedule equipment and labor to optimize project performance. Activities:
xc2xb7 Weekly input in WIP meetings to provide feedback on site progress.
xc2xb7 Schedule equipment & labor to meet with installation schedules.
xc2xb7 Communicate to field team(s) leadership team performance concerns.
KPI-03 Performance (20%)
Monitor/Review ongoing work in progress to ensure projects are in line with estimates.
Activities:
xc2xb7 Monitor material orders and fabrication schedules.
xc2xb7 Monitor field installation progress and provide input to install teams (estimate vs actual)
xc2xb7 Review the capabilities of installers and provide input on individual abilities.
