The Purpose



The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing assigned projects with a focus on the Sprinkler Division, ensuring adherence to NFPA codes, building codes, and the highest standards in fire sprinkler systems design and installation. This position plays a critical role in guiding the project management team, optimizing processes, and delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations.

Areas of Accountability



Lead the project management function, driving excellence in project delivery, quality, and budget management.

Ensure effective project management processes and protocols are in place throughout the division.

Lead and motivate the team by providing training, mentorship and conducting performance reviews.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the PM team, ensuring the division's efficiency and professionalism.

Ensure the PM team maintains excellent relationships with clients.

Managing all PM processes such as estimating, design, submittals, inspections, RFI & CO submission.

Conduct regular reviews of contracts to ensure values and scopes are aligned with the tenders, and coordinate with the President for final approval and signing of contracts.

Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, ensuring that the division complies with all relevant codes and standards.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date long-term schedules to (something about appropriate workload/cashflow)

Maintain close communication with Field Superintendents

Oversee the performance and workload of the Project Coordinator and delegate tasks as appropriate.

Oversee the design process and ensure each design is reviewed for compliance with the scope of work and estimate before it is submitted to the client for review.

Manage the equipment submittal process and ensure all submittals are reviewed, amended as necessary, and documented in the project e-folder.

Lead the development and implementation of project management systems and start-up & closeout checklists for each project.

Ensure that all projects are inspected by the sprinkler engineer and municipal inspector as required to keep the project schedule on track.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date long-term schedules and be the main point of contact with the sprinkler engineer.

Skills and Knowledge

Superior organizational skills.

Exceptional customer service.

Familiar with the industry's concepts, terminology, requirements, best-practices, and procedures.

Comfortable using various computer programs/software. Ex: Click-Up, Excel, Word, Teams, Zoom, etc.

Excellent written/verbal communication

Strong attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
