The Project Manager has overall responsibility and ownership for leading a fabrication team to deliver manufacturing projects. They lead the fabrication team, from Project Coordinators, Fabrication Managers, welders, fitters, and other fabrication staff who coordinate teams to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget, to a high-quality standard. Responsible for leading, developing, implementing, and overseeing the local Manufacturing steel supply team and supporting the growth of the business. The Project Manager will also be working with our internal shared services such as HSE, engineering, drafting, estimating, supply chain, and logistics teams for the successful delivery of projects and be accountable for the creation of the plan to deliver a multimillion-dollar manufacturing supply program. The Project Manager will provide leadership to deliver quality projects, strategically manage risk, monitor finances, and ensure each phase of work is started or completed on time. Job Duties
Complete Revenue and Margin targets for all local manufacturing projects.
Business growth and sales of our steel manufacturing business line.
Monitoring project delivery progress, overseeing finance, and ensuring project quality.
Provide leadership and direction to the fabrication team.
Meeting with clients, stakeholders, and finance to report on project progress.
Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships.
Devise cost-effective plans to enable project completion.
Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damage.
Understand and implement WesTower\xe2\x80\x99s Health and Safety guidelines.
Coach and mentor project teams using performance reviews, one-on-one meetings, and constructive feedback.
Requirements
High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
Technical Diploma or Degree (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel manufacturing with hands-on custom manufacturing experience; This may include misc. metal, structural, and custom fabrication-type projects.
Experienced in steel manufacturing methodologies and requirements.
Able to exercise initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
