Job Purpose:

The Project Manager is a vital member of our project team, responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of various administrative tasks. This role supports project teams, vendors, and subcontractors, playing a key role in bridging the gap between project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:



Bid Review:

Collaborate with the estimating team to review promising bids and provide insights to reduce handover knowledge gaps upon award.

Task Delegation:

Assign project-specific tasks to team members as directed by the Manager of Projects.

Schedule Development:

Partner with the Manager of Projects to create and maintain a baseline project schedule.

Meeting Preparation:

Prepare and compile information for kickoff meetings and client progress meetings.

Client Reporting:

Ensure the Project Coordinator provides accurate and professional weekly client reports.

Drawing & Documentation:

Facilitate and support isometric drawing reviews, constructability mark-ups, and material take-offs. Provide and manage project material budgets.

Prioritization & Planning:

Work with clients to develop fabrication priorities and communicate these to Operations/Production teams. Support execution planning as needed.

Communication:

Ensure timely and accurate drafting and drawing release procedures by communicating mark-ups and prioritizations to the project team.

Schedule Management:

Communicate project schedules to all departments, set deadlines, and monitor adherence.

Responsibility Tracking:

Ensure project team members maintain responsibilities and follow up regularly via phone, visit, and email.

Financial Oversight:

Collaborate with the Controller to manage change orders, CORs, rework numbers, and PORs.

RFI & Documentation Review:

Review RFIs and project-specific technical documentation before client submission.

Subcontractor Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations of subcontractors to ensure timely deliverables.

Project Health Documentation:

Assist in preparing and reviewing project health documentation, including invoicing and PORs.

Qualifications:



Post-secondary training preferred. 2+ years' experience in a project management or equivalent role preferred. Experience in a fast-paced environment with evolving needs. Industry-specific trade training is an asset. Ability to organize and preserve both digital and hardcopy drawings. Proficiency in MS Office applications; Bluebeam knowledge is a plus. CSTS-2020 and WHMIS certifications required.

Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Schedule:



10 hour shift Day shift Monday to Thursday (Friday overtime) Overtime Weekends as needed

Working Conditions:



Office environment with moderate noise. May require walking stairs, exposure to inclement weather, carrying objects, driving, and normal office routines.

Physical Requirements:



Close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing computer terminals, and extensive reading. Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
