Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring that all project specifications are met. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in various estimating software.

Responsibilities

Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimating. Utilize construction management software and tools such as Planswift, Construct Connext for effective project estimation. Review schematics and blueprints to ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for in the estimates. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate estimates to stakeholders. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets. Assist in the selection of material and suppliers Maintain organized records of all estimates, changes, and communications related to projects.

Experience

Proven experience in sprinkler estimating or a related field is essential. Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of NBCC and NFPA 13 is required. Familiarity with project management principles and practices is preferred. Experience with construction management software such as ProCore or HeavyBid is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail are critical for success in this role. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
