We are looking for an E&I Project Manager to join our Project Engineering team, based in Saint John, New Brunswick.

As an E&I Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing capital projects. From project concept development to project start-up, you will be responsible to lead a team through all phases of projects including scope definition and funding applications, detailed engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities. The E&I Project Manager and Team will be responsible for ensuring the projects are executed safely, in compliance with all environmental regulations, kept within budget and on schedule, and achieve all technical, performance, and quality objectives.

We operate four Pulp and Paper Mills out of Saint John and St. George New Brunswick that produce 1 Million Tonnes of Product and employ over 1000 employees.

You Have:

\xc2\xb7 Electrical Engineering Degree

\xc2\xb7 Prior experience in pulp & paper or other heavy industrial projects is considered an asset

\xc2\xb7 Ability to successfully execute within a team environment

\xc2\xb7 Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written

\xc2\xb7 Must demonstrate ownership, initiative, attention-to-detail, and a drive to ensure things are done right the first time

\xc2\xb7 Above-average planning and organizational skills

\xc2\xb7 Experience with electrical system design, instrumentation and automation (including power transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, instrumentation, PLCs, DCS)

Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Manage and execute electrical, instrumentation and automation projects of varying magnitude, interface with other disciplines and external stakeholders across multiple locations

\xc2\xb7 Recommends E&I process/equipment improvements to support strategic initiatives

\xc2\xb7 Develop concepts for capital improvements outlining scope, benefits, cost estimates and schedules. Prepare capital funding requests, work with cross functional teams through to completion of project.

\xc2\xb7 Execute multiple projects within budget and on schedule

\xc2\xb7 Monitor and track capital spending and project progress to plan

\xc2\xb7 Provide commissioning and start-up support

\xc2\xb7 Provide trouble shooting assistance and technical expertise as required

\xc2\xb7 Work with engineering consultants and contractors ensuring project design and execution is in accordance with company standards and applicable codes and regulations

\xc2\xb7 Provide mentorship to other engineers and students.
