Lonza\xe2\x80\x99s Kingston site is part of our Personalized Medicine business unit which aims to make cell and gene therapies accessible to all patients. Specifically, our team develops and distributes the Cocoon\xc2\xae Platform which addresses challenges in cell therapy manufacturing as a functionally closed, automated, and scalable solution for personalized therapy manufacturing. Lonza is looking to fill the role of Project Manager in our Kingston, ON location to support Product Development activities. The Project Manager makes an important contribution to Lonza\xe2\x80\x99s Personalized Medicine business unit by managing key product and business development initiatives. The Project Manager is responsible for interfacing with multi-disciplinary core teams across multiple geographies to reach defined milestones in the area of cell therapy and personalized medicine. The Project Manager will work with both internal and external stakeholders. The Project Manager will guide successful execution of activities in the areas of Engineering, Biology, Software, Quality, and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from initiation through planning, execution, controlling, and closing
• Drive Lonza\'s design & development process to launch new products and features
• Coordinate, track and report project progress by developing timelines for core teams in liaison with other departments and clients, ensuring that milestones are achieved and budgets are upheld
• Provide input on feasibility of new projects
• Identify, track, and escalate project risks, issues, assumptions, and decisions; provide solutions to challenges
• Lead applicable internal and client communications/meetings

Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years of project management experience
• Knowledge of cGMP procedures/practices, preferred
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
• 2 or more years of medical device, biotechnology and/or life sciences industry experience
• Working knowledge of project lifecycle, entrepreneurial mindset, excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Strong relationship management, leadership and organizational skills
• Able to influence others to meet/exceed established goals
• Willing/able to work on site in Kingston ON; full relocation package available
• Demonstrated proficiency in Project Management tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, PowerBI, SmartSheet)
