Job Summary
Southlake's Capital Development team is interested in adding a dynamic project manager to lead complex, challenging and rewarding projects. In addition to infrastructure and clinical operations projects the Capital Development team has started planning the future expansion to a two-site hospital system. The planned expansion to include a new, acute, in-patient care hospital and the redevelopment of the existing campus on Davis Drive.
The Capital Development team is built on trust, respect, support and collaboration. The existing compliment of project managers are experienced and supportive to assist during onboarding and beyond. The team brings strong fiscal and schedule controls to the projects while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Degree or Diploma in Architecture or Engineering or equivalent work experience;
  • Must either have or be willing to obtain a Project Management Professional Certification;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a project manager or co-ordinator in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (I.C.I.) sector, with preferred experience in a healthcare environment;
  • Working knowledge of design and construction as an Owner's representative, preferably in a healthcare environment;
  • Background in either architectural, mechanical or electrical infrastructure is desirable;
  • Able to work with a variety of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Project;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management principles and processes;
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35

Primary Responsibilities
  • Leads the planning and implementation of Capital Development projects at Southlake;
  • Manages capital projects from inception to completion, through various stages of the project life cycle;
  • Manages and controls the time, cost and quality of projects;
  • Develops efficient and effective plans including accountability for deliverables to complement multiple projects including coordination of all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects, and vendors.
  • Leads staff ,consultants and contractors and provides subject matter expertise to interface hospital operations with projects including acting as support for operational readiness planning and implementation
