Atlantica is recruiting for innovative and collaborative candidates for a Project Manager position in our Electrical Division in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As the Project Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Manager within the Electrical Division. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the success of assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working in an exciting and collaborative environment, you will:

\xc2\xb7 Execute, monitor, and oversee all aspects (including safety, quality, commercial and technical) of assigned projects to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery.

\xc2\xb7 Develop an execution plan and schedule for each project, when applicable. Monitor actuals and implement recovery plans as required.

\xc2\xb7 Act as the point of contact for the client and manage the client relationship to ensure an open and collaborative approach to project delivery

\xc2\xb7 Work with design team to ensure shop drawings are delivered on time, and meet specifications

\xc2\xb7 Ensure all required materials, equipment and craft personnel are on site, and are performing, per established schedule and budget constraints.

\xc2\xb7 Supervise project teams consisting of craft personnel and, at times, staff personnel.

\xc2\xb7 Review contract and any commercial and technical documents for assigned projects to plan execution and ensure alignment with the project bid

\xc2\xb7 Facilitate thorough risk identification and risk management before and during project execution.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with Project Controls to ensure appropriate financial controls and reporting is in place for each project. Develop and analyze job cost reports and take steps to improve project productivity and profitability.

\xc2\xb7 Prepare and manage the change process, ensuring timely approvals of all changes to project scope and schedule.

\xc2\xb7 Spend time at the work site to proactively identify and resolve issues as required.

\xc2\xb7 Identify any unique safety hazards at the beginning of each project, and as site conditions change, and work with assigned HSE Advisors to develop and implement action plans.

\xc2\xb7 Produce regular project reports and dashboard summaries and maintain registers for shop drawings, change orders, RFIs, etc. Provide regular reporting to Senior Management as required.

\xc2\xb7 Be responsible for promoting a culture of health, safety and environmental accountability and actively contribute to Cahill\'s objective of zero lost-time accidents. Encourage the identification of near miss incidents, reporting of safety issues, participation in any incident investigations and promotion of lessons learned.

\xc2\xb7 Foster a productive and respectful environment for all staff and craft personnel.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure monthly progress invoices are accurate and issued to clients in a timely fashion.

\xc2\xb7 Build and maintain open and trusting client relationships, ensuring attentiveness and responsiveness to client requirements.

Who are we looking for?

Education and Experience:

\xc2\xb7 Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or equivalent preferred.

\xc2\xb7 Construction Management or equivalent experience

\xc2\xb7 Project Management experience is an asset including experience with planning, executing, and controlling projects

\xc2\xb7 Proven ability to communicate ideas and information in a clear and concise manner to the appropriate audience.

\xc2\xb7 Effective writing skills in which produces professional quality material.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.

\xc2\xb7 A positive solution-oriented approach.

Job Details:

\xc2\xb7 37.5 hours per week

\xc2\xb7 Monday to Friday
