This role is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment that requires the successful candidate to be team-oriented with excellent communication, client service, prioritization and organizational skills.Reporting to the Senior Manager, National Operations, the Project Manager will drive business optimization and technical projects that will make valuable impact across the Firm. This role provides project management expertise and facilitates process improvement initiatives to drive positive sustainable change and optimize operational effectiveness.Leveraging critical thinking skills, change management approaches, project management and lean/agile methodologies, the Project Manager will work with various functions and stakeholders across the Firm\'s six Canadian offices to plan, design, and execute initiatives that support the Firm\'s operational activities and enable the delivery of strategic and cross-functional projects.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the scope, risks, communications, change management and successful delivery and adoption of complex projects that may involve technical software evaluations and/or implementations, process mapping and optimization, and policy operationalization.RESPONSIBILITIESThe Project Manager will be responsible for enabling and supporting concurrent cross-functional change and optimization efforts led and supported by the National Operations Team. The successful candidate will:

  • Manage projects throughout its lifecycle by preparing plans and approaches, proactively tracking progress and budget, flagging issues and escalations, ensuring clear communications and reporting progress and outcomes.
  • Problem-solve and collaborate with stakeholders to develop right-sized innovative solutions to address business problems and goals, leveraging appropriate technology and tools to enhance quality, clarify protocols, streamline workflows, and realize objectives.
  • Navigate project teams through implementing change while fostering a collaborative team environment and data-driven culture.
  • Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to project owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
  • Lead the development, testing, evaluation and/or roll-out of project deliverables and outputs (for example, evaluation frameworks, new tools/templates, training/supporting resources, reimagined processes/protocols, communications, etc.).
  • Capture, interpret and synthesize requirements and data to inform the development of solutions that address identified people, process and/or technology opportunities and challenges.
  • Lead or support cross-functional projects and process optimization efforts across the Firm, by leveraging lean/agile and change management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Analyze and visualize data and relevant information, to offer insights and trends that inform business decision-making, problem-solving, and impactful discussions by leaders at the Firm, and drive and monitor performance improvements.
  • Monitor and track progress of portfolios of projects, initiatives, and business-as-usual activities against strategic and operational workplans. This could include, but is not limited to, collaborating with a cross-functional team to identify and maintain efficient data collection processes to consolidate and track operational and strategic key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Support operational activities, including by not limited to preparing reports and presentations to communicate updates, raise issues/anticipated risks and facilitate discussions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Planning, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience leading and/or supporting change efforts, complex projects and/or business operations within a professional services setting, including but not limited to process and continuous improvement initiatives, data or technology transformations, change management and communications, and/or software evaluation and implementation.
  • Project Management Professional certification and/or Lean designations, or equivalent is an asset.
  • Curious with strong analytical and reasoning mindset, with an innate pursuit to learn and adapt to new/evolving concepts and tackle complex challenges.
  • Strong overall technology knowledge and experience with technical projects.
  • Energized and self-motivated about optimizing and/or building new processes and enjoys bringing clarity and scoping the right problems to solve in ambiguous situations.
  • Considerable knowledge and experience gathering, managing and maintaining data to enable oversight and support progress tracking across a large portfolio of programs, projects, and initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively visualize complex concepts and data insights to communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, promoting a data-driven culture and data literacy throughout the organization.
  • Exceptional eye for detail, particularly in visual presentation elements.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Driven and results-oriented, with a proven ability to identify, research, validate and recommend innovative solutions to problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with colleagues, various levels of management, and other stakeholders within a virtual team environment.
  • Comfortable working on multiple concurrent priorities with effective time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Preferred experience leading process improvement and/or technology procurement and implementation projects.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Asana/Jira (or equivalent project management tools), Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerBI, Forms, and/or Power Apps considered an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of confidentiality and a commitment to privacy and ethical conduct.
