Three year Diploma/Degree in Human Services, Bachelor of Social Sciences, Arts or Education
Minimum three years of practical work experience in liaison, Indigenous student supports, event planning, communications, marketing initiatives, tours, public speaking, and customer service
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Proficiency with computer and report writing technology
Direct, extensive, and in-depth knowledge and experience working with First Nations in an educational setting
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
Sound judgement and problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of a Cree or Ojibwe language is an asset
DUTIES:
Responsible for project management support to the Manager of Community Based and Contract Training by using the Client Impact Model to implement the project
Establish community out-reach and act as the primary liaison from the IPREP between the College, First Nation Communities, and employers
Maintain project and communication plans, financial accountability documentation, and monitor progress with the third-party evaluator on key milestones and project deliverables
Work collaboratively with the divisions within the College to fulfill its mission of the delivery of the Client Impact Model ensuring accessible, quality educational experiences that meet the unique needs of the IPREP participants in the program
Regular independent travel to First Nation communities in addition to frequent trips to other campuses and/or local businesses
