The City of Port Coquitlam is looking for an energetic, results orientated individual to join the Recreation team as the Project Implementation Specialist. This role will cover a portfolio that provides an equal mix of project management, business analysis and software support to the organization. The Project Implementation Specialist is instrumental in researching, planning, selecting, implementing and supporting complex enterprise application systems projects as well as aligning business processes and developing system interfaces for the organization.

Some of the key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Plan, develop, and oversee project teams in the implementation of complex computer systems across Recreation Department Assists various City departments in the preparation of project plans/schedules, reports and budgets Conduct needs assessments, investigate system deficiencies, and propose innovative solutions for enhanced service delivery Liaise with department and division teams and external vendors to ensure technology solutions are optimized for customer service excellence Train, provide ongoing support, and collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated service delivery Performs related work as required.

The successful candidate for this position will have:

A university degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience A minimum of five (5) years' experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning solutions or other enterprise systems in a mid-sized business environment, preferably Unit4 (Agresso) and/or Tempest A minimum of five (5) years' of directly related work experience including supervision, data analysis and systems support preferably in Local Government A background in leading projects and successfully implementing systems and processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills Emotional intelligence and an ability to build strong relationships at all levels A commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement Leadership aspirations and big picture thinking A positive and fun attitude A Valid Class 5 Drivers License
