We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Geologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in geological fieldwork and demonstrate proficiency in data collection from exploration drilling programs, prospecting and mapping. As a Project Geologist, you will be responsible for assisting in project management for exploration programs and the ability to work independently in the field remotely.
Duties
Conduct and perform prospecting and mapping programs in steep, mountainous terrane.
Analyze geological data using various software tools, including programs like Leap Frog, to create detailed maps and models.
Assist the planning and operations of exploration drill programs under the supervision of Senior Geologist
Ensure quality control during sampling programs within and outside of the core shack
Log core samples for lithology, alteration, structure, mineralization, and geotechnical properties.
Properly manage a team within and outside of the core shack
Skills
Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
Proficiency in GIS software for mapping and spatial analysis.
Solid understanding of data collection techniques in field environments.
Mechanical knowledge related to geological equipment and tools.
Research skills to support ongoing projects and investigations.
Efficient project management skills
Ability to work independent and as a team
Ability to navigate steep, mountainous terrane during fieldwork programs such as prospecting and mapping
Ability to work up to 28 days in a row in remote field locations
