Air Canada (AC) and affiliates are on an exciting Finance Transformation journey. This includes selection & implementation of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions at its core. Air Canada is looking for individuals who can build our future finance systems to achieve automation, leverage data to increase performance insights, enabling the next generation delivery model and serve as a strategic business partner to the organization.

Reporting to the EPM Lead, the Project Financial System & Process Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end design and implementation of the Project Costing solution for all AC entities.The individual will take part in a multi-year implementation project with the intent to continue in a similar role in the organization.

Key Functions and Responsibilities


  • Work in collaboration with the system integrator providing oversight and key input to Project Costing process development.

  • Ensure AC\'s design principles are applied across all areas of the stream including unified processes using out of the box functionality and quality first.

  • Responsible for Project Budget stream project updates to the EPM Lead and Operational Committee on a regular basis.

  • Identify and document gaps in out of the box functionality.

  • Provide support to other streams of the Finance Transformation Project when needed.

  • Recognize risks that may impact the project outcomes and notify the appropriate parties

  • Work collaboratively with other Process Area Managers (Procurement, Asset Management, Payables, etc.) to ensure process intersection points are known and optimized.

  • Ensure design decisions are made through collaboration with business stakeholder.

  • Implement adoption of standardized enterprise-wide processes aligned with leading practices where possible.

  • Collaborate with all AC entities to obtain input and understand key areas that require differentiation.

  • Instruct and guide the Finance Business Analyst to completion of deliverables.

  • Provide input, review, and sign off on process documentation created by the Finance Business Analyst.

  • Support change management activities such as fostering desire for change, training, documentation, and post go live support.
Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience with project budget management is an asset

  • Experience in cloud ERP application is an asset

  • Proficiency with PC software (MSOffice, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven leadership qualities and strong sense of initiative

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude & familiarity with the technical environment

  • Ability to work under pressure and to multitask with a strong sense of priorities
