Who You Are

We\'re looking for someone that thrives on supporting the delivery of strategic and innovative solutions. As a member of the SAP Modernization Program (SAPMP) Team, and reporting to the Director of SAP MP, you will work closely with our partners and client base which includes: government departments, agencies, boards and commissions, health and education sectors as well as our system integrator to meet the short-term and long-term business requirements and financial needs of the program. The Project Financial Analyst is responsible for providing specialized project financial support to the leadership team of the SAP Modernization Program.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the financial administration, management, and coordination of the SAP Modernization program and projects, including the design and implementation of effective internal controls and oversight.
  • Designs and assists in the implementation of systems and procedures to organize and coordinate the collection and processing of program related financial information.
  • Develops, examines, analyses, costs and makes financial recommendations for senior management.
  • Develops and prepares spreadsheets, analyses, costs and other materials for the Director and Executive Director.
  • Manages budget and forecasting activities through timely and effective coordination and analysis of operating expenditures and budgets.
  • Communicates regularly with SAP MP leadership on the financial position of the program to be proactive in the resolution of issues as identified.
  • Supports the planning, development and implementation of initiatives within the SAP modernization program and SAP service management teams.
  • Develops supporting project financial plans, updates and provides contract management support including change request recommendations.
  • Reviews project documentation to ensure all financial projections are in alignment with resourcing plans and contracts.
  • Tracks and reports status of program and project portfolios, coordinating and preparing performance reporting to help senior management determine scope of program and projects.
  • Identifies and suggests opportunities for improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience

This may be the right opportunity for you if you have a bachelor\'s degree with a focus in Accounting or Finance and six years of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

The following will also be required for the position:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial project management tasks and resources with multiple priorities and assess emerging issues;
  • Experience with Office 365 product suite including but limited to: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint;
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated through past work experience;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders including, executives, managers, business subject matter experts and service providers;
  • Strong organizational skills that facilitate managing multiple initiatives simultaneously;
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a team
Asset

While not required, it is considered an asset if you possess:
  • An understanding of government financial budgeting policies and procedures.
  • Experience working in an SAP/ERP support organization or other large project.
  • Understanding of an alternate service provider supported organization.
