Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Project Estimator to join our team and play a crucial role in accurately estimating project costs and ensuring the successful execution of SIP-based construction projects.
To be successful,
you will be responsible for analyzing architectural designs and specifications to provide comprehensive cost estimates for SIP manufacturing and installation projects. You will work collaboratively with the internal teams, architects, contractors, and clients to ensure that projects are accurately estimated and completed within budget.
What You'll Be Doing
Cost Analysis:
Review architectural drawings and project specifications to understand scope and requirements, identifying materials, labor, and other cost components associated with SIP manufacturing and installation.
Estimation:
Utilize your expertise to develop detailed and accurate cost estimates, taking into account various factors such as materials, labor, equipment, overhead, and contingencies.
Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to gather information, address inquiries, and refine estimates as needed.
Proposal Preparation:
Prepare clear and comprehensive project proposals outlining cost breakdowns, assumptions, and any value-added services, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
Value Engineering:
Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures and value engineering while maintaining the quality and performance standards of SIP products.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and organized documentation of cost estimates, assumptions, and relevant project information for future reference and project tracking.
Project Support:
Provide ongoing support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle, assisting with cost-related inquiries, change orders, and project adjustments.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the refinement of estimating processes, tools, and best practices, aiming to enhance accuracy and efficiency in project estimation.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as a Project Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on SIPs or similar building components.
Understanding of SIP manufacturing processes, materials, and construction techniques.
Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with ninja like attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and levels.
Ability to effectively time manage to prioritize projects.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple estimates concurrently.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Experience with value engineering and cost optimization strategies.
