With 5.000 employees across the world, the Egis\' Transportation Business Line includes the following activities: rail & transit, urban infrastructure, mobility, roadways, ports, major structures (tunnels and bridges) and geotechnics.

About the Project

The ON-Corridor project is the largest capital infrastructure project in the Ontario\'s historic GO Rail Expansion program, which will bring electrified two-way, all-day service every 15 minutes or better along core segments of the GO rail network. ON-Corridor project includes all works that facilitate train service, such as track, civil infrastructure, signalling, electrification infrastructure and associated fleet, as well as the operations and maintenance of the GO rail network.

Egis is part of the Technical Advisory team, providing high-level advice, integration and coordination activities for our client, Metrolinx, and its major project.

Job description

As Intern Project Engineer, you will assist the management team and the design review team in carrying out its missions:

• Support the implementation and the follow-up of the design review process ;
• Coordinate with the technical team to ensure the process implementation;
• Ensure the process is executed within schedule and that the tasks are correctly allocated ;
• Monitor other specific processes (like document control, change management or quality control) ;
• Identify and implement improvements within the different processes ;
• Follow-up with the different actions ;
• Support the overall coordination of the team.

The Intern Project Engineer will be based at the Metrolinx\'s office in Downtown Toronto and will be working in an integrated team bringing together and coordinating the entire project stakeholders.

The Intern Project Engineer will be supported by two experienced project engineers as well as by Egis\' Project Director.

Beyond the involvement in this project, you may be required to support the Egis teams in Canada on other projects or on commercial proposals.

Profile

Engineering or Project Management academic background in final year of university studies ;

Ability to work in a diverse and multicultural team ;

Autonomous, rigorous and organized ;

An eye for processes optimization and innovation ;

Fluent in oral and written English ;

Good practice of MS Office package.

Focus in project management is a plus ;

Basic knowledge about rail & transit projects is a plus.
